Pulwama attack: Sidhu again refuses to condemn Pakistan, asks who released Masood Azhar in 1999?

The Punjab Assembly witnessed a huge uproar on Monday with opposition MLAs seeking dismissal of Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for his "insensitive" remarks on Pulwama terror attack. Sidhu, while clarifying on his remark, said terror needs to end. However, he still refuses to condemn Pakistan and its PM Imran Khan. Sidhu also rakes up Kandahar incident, asks who released JeM chief Masood Azhar? Sidhu drew flak from various quarters after he said that entire Pakistan or an individual cannot be held responsible for the Pulwama attack.

National BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya here on Sunday lashed out at Congress and other opposition party leaders who thanked Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan for release of IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman. “When Pakistan had captured Abhinandan, Pakistan PM wanted to talk to our Prime Minster Narendra Modi over phone. His condition was not accepted rather he was told that Abhinandan should be released unconditionally else Pakistan would have to face consequences,” he said while addressing a function organised by BJP at Madhurmilan Garden.
